  1. OFFICE ASSISTANCE

We are looking for a competent Office Assistant to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the BRILLIANCE FAMILY INTERNATIONAL. Our organization runs church ministries, NGO projects, and Seminaries (Bible Training College)

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.

Responsibilities

  • Organize office and assist associates in ways that optimize procedures
  • Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner
  • Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
  • Schedule and plan meetings and appointments
  • Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages
  • Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies
  • Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues
  • Perform receptionist duties when needed

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as a back-office assistant, office assistant, virtual assistant or in another relevant administrative role
  • Knowledge of “back-office” computer systems (ERP software)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment
  • Thorough understanding of office management procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  1. ENGLISH TEACHER

We are looking to employ an English teacher with an outstanding track record of teaching English lessons. The English teacher will be responsible for the teaching of reading, writing and speaking skills.

To ensure success as an English teacher, the candidate must be qualified in English . The English teacher must possess a pleasant disposition that will enhance the learning process. Ultimately, an outstanding English teacher should engage students in meaningful and fun activities, creating an environment conducive to learning.

English Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Teach basic English skills including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Compose lesson plans in order to successfully incorporate the full duration of each lesson.
  • Execute lessons efficiently using different styles of teaching depending on the content.
  • Engage students to ensure a lively classroom atmosphere.
  • Instruct students about the structure and content of the English language.
  • Teach students the spelling of words, and their meanings.
  • Emphasize the rules of composition, grammar and sentence construction.
  • Teach students the correct pronunciation of words.
  • Teach students to think critically when studying literature and poetry.
  • Teach students to analyze and question media reports, advertisements, and news reports.

English Teacher Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English and education.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a teaching role.

  • The ability to compile lesson plans efficiently.

  1. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF RELIGIOUS STUDIESJob Description and Responsibilities:
    The Department of Religious Studies of BRILLIANCE FAMILY SEMINARIES invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position (open rank) . In addition to teaching,the successful candidate will direct the BRILLIANCE FAMILY SEMINARIES and, coordinate Theological Affiars of BRILLIANCE FAMILY INTERNATIONAL, expects the successful candidate will engage in public scholarship that will benefit the community as well as inform the candidate’s teaching.

 

The Seminaries stresses excellence in teaching and the successful applicant will develop and teach courses in Theological Studies in order to help grow the pastors and Christian ministers. The applicant will also be involved in College marketing to the potential students.

Status:
This is a permanent, full-time, tenure-track (open rank) position in BRILLIANCE FAMILY SEMINARIES.

 

Salary determined is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Qualifying Experience/Education:
• Terminal degree from an accredited institution
• Professional teaching experience in the field of  theology

Preferred Qualifications:
The area of theological specialization is open

  1. FUNDRAISING CONSULTANT

Fundraising Consultants will coordinate the fundraising activities for BRILLIANCE FAMILY INTERNATIONAL. Will request support from businesses and individuals, and will be required to explain what raised funds will be used for when asked. This is a very creative position, as there are many ways to raise funds.

Responsibilities:

  • Solicit corporate, government and foundation support via presentations, proposals, etc.
  • Solicit public donations via direct mail campaigns and donor programs
  • Establish and operate endowments, A bequests and deferred-giving programs
  • Conduct membership drives and fundraising campaigns
  • Raise funds and awareness through special events
  • Write and produce promotional material
  • Publicize organization and events
  • Thank sponsors or organize sponsor appreciation programs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in English
  • A degree or diploma in business, arts administration, marketing or communications is an asset
  • Previous fundraising experience is an asset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Marketing skills
  • Proven experience in budgeting and managing money
  • Strong organizational skills
  1. THE SECRETARY/TYPIST

Job brief

We are looking for a Typist to perform typing and word processing tasks for our company.

A successful Typist is responsible for typing company documents and material, including reports, correspondence and policies. If you can type fast and accurately and can check documents for grammar, spelling and punctuation errors under tight deadlines, we’d like to meet you. For this role, it’s essential to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our company documents are accurate, updated and accessible to all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer data from paper formats into digital files or database systems
  • Transcribe documents from dictated tapes
  • Take notes at meetings with managers and others to create detailed texts
  • Edit completed work for grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Gather and organize typing material
  • Create spreadsheets and presentations, combining various data from existing files
  • Maintain physical and digital filing systems
  • Scan and print files, as needed
  • Keep information confidential in accordance with security policies

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a Typist, Data Entry Clerk, or Data Entry operator
  • Fast typing skills; using a touch typing system is a plus
